"Makinilya" is the second of the two-part episode of the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya which features the life of former senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. and former president Corazon Aquino aired last January 30, 2010 starring Piolo Pascual and Bea Alonzo.
During Martial Law, Ninoy Aquino was imprisoned for seven years and seven months. Cory Aquino became the father and mother to her five children. In 1980, Ninoy was allowed by First Lady Imelda Marcos to go to the United States to have a heart surgery and be with his family for three years. It was until Ninoy decided to returned to the Philippines to be assassinated in 1983. Three years later, Cory became the President of the Philippines. Twenty-three years after assuming office, Cory died after a year and a half battle with colorectal cancer.
